On the heels of COP29 and with a new U.S. administration soon to be sworn in, what is the future of the Paris Climate Agreement and global efforts to avoid catastrophic climate change? Join International House and the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago as we welcome former U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern for a discussion on his new book Landing the Paris Climate Agreement, where he provides an inside account of the seven-year negotiation that culminated in the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015. Stern will be in conversation with Pete Ogden, Vice President for Climate and Environment at the United Nations Foundation.
